Just for giggles I went there, it told me that I was in Sacramento,
CA, at least it got the right country.

I have had spotty results with those as well. I just found another one
<a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="http://www.maxmind.com">www.maxmind.com</a> I spot checked 10 or so IP's around the US and their
database was 100% accurate. It's not a free service but they only
charge $20 for 50,000 web service hits.<br>
