That's fine.  To each his own.  But KDE and Gnome are so different from
one another that it is problematic to run GTK apps on a KDE desktop. 
They don't even seem to use the standard X clipboard, as my GTK apps
seem to have their own clip board and my KDE apps have their own.  This
gets really bad if I am doing a remote consulting job, use my own
Mozilla to find a URL, and try to paste it into a Konsole ssh session to
lynx over to the same URL to download something.  This is a problem I am
dealing with at this very moment as a matter of fact.

Of course, I am also having that problem with my email since I am using
Evolution on top of KDE.

One more thing... KDE has many themes available, as does Gnome or any
other modern desktop.  I am not using anything that came with KDE.  I'm
using Liquid, by Mosfet, which is more like Mac OS X.
