Greetings;

Upcoming Public Service Events:

   - Sept. 8th: The Light The Night (LTN) Walk, Downtown Raleigh. A
great stroll around Downtown Raleigh. Need about 6 volunteers to
staff this one. Cool Balloons too!

   - Sept. 11th: The Light The Night (LTN) Walk, Downtown Durham. A
chance for some Durham/Chatham County folks to get involved. Walk
starts at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham, and tours around
revitalized Downtown Durham. Also need about 6 volunteers to staff
this one.

   - Oct 6th: The RTP Diabetes Walk. For the seventh year in a row
we're supporting this great event. Need 5-7 volunteers for this.

   - Nov 4th: The City of Oaks Marathon. The old Raleigh Marathon has
returned under a new logo! Still working out the details on this
one, but we're sure to need 15-20 folks to make this a success. Stay
tuned for updates.

And remember - Ham Radio *IS* public service!

Regards;
