I would certainly be interested in playing along.

I seem to be on the other point of a triangle with you and Kevin,
central Apex.

I have a 2m/440 HT ( Alinco 596 ), waiting for a mobile antenna to
arrive.  I have a Kenwood 9600 in storage in Western Canada, so the HT
is it, for the moment, although your suggestions for 220, or cheap on
the other bands, might be possible as an addition. ( Been out of touch
for a decade or more. )
