Remember DurHamFest 2017 this Saturday (5/27)

This year's DurhamFest will again be at our new  location at the Durham
Public Schools Staff Development Center.  It is located at
2107 Hillandale Rd, Durham 27705
Lat: 36.0362 Long: -78.9365
(see more detailed instructions below or go to the DFMA.ORG web site,
click on the DurHamFest tab and on that page, find a link to a Google
map.) (We will be in a different building from last year.)

This facility is air conditioned and is less than a mile from Interstate
85 and should be much closer for most Triangle area hams than our
previous site.  As before:

Tickets are still $5 per person.  Tailgate slots are $5 (plus tickets).

We open up to the public at 8:30am.

We'll be monitoring 145.450- for Talk-in.

ps: We'll have free coffee like last year.
Some sausage biscuits and donuts will be available early on.  Later we'll
fire up the grill and have hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie-burgers, and

Directions to DurHamFest:

Approach

Northbound on US 15/501 - Merge right onto I 85 North. Use Exit 174
Hillandale - right hand exit then left across bridge on Hillandale Road

Westbound on I 85 South - Use Exit 174B Hillandale - stay right onto
Hillandale Road.

Eastbound on I 85 North - Exit 174 Hillandale - right hand exit then
left across bridge on Hillandale Road

Southbound on US 501/Duke Street - Turn right onto Carver St.  Follow
Carver, crossing NC 157/Guess Rd and finally Hillandale Rd.  Immediately
after crossing Hillandale, turn left into the driveway for DurHamFest.
If you miss the turn unto Carver, keep going until you reach I85.  Turn
right onto I 85 South. Exit 174B Hillandale - stay right onto Hillandale
Road.

Durham Freeway/NC 147 - Use Exit 158 (Fulton St/Hillandale Rd -  Duke
Hospital).  Turn North (away from Duke Hospital) onto Hillandale Rd and
keep going for a while.

Final Approach (local)
Driving north on Hillandale Rd, continue approximately 1/4 mile to next
stoplight at intersection with W. Carver Street and turn left. From W.
Carver make the first left into the DurHamFest driveway to parking lot.
