Hi DFMA and OCRA folks,
I'll keep this short, but I've been working on a homebrew VHF radio project for the past year, that turns your Android cell phone into an HT. It can do both voice and texting fully off-grid,
and costs about $35 to build. Here's the website:

https://kv4p.com

If you're interested in building one, I'm happy to give you one of the PCBs for free (you order the handful of other parts, only 3 need to be soldered).

But even if you don't want to build one, it would be super helpful if you could install the kv4p HT app if you have an Android phone, because the Play Store won't let me publish the app until
I have 20 beta testers with the app installed for 2 weeks. If you're not interested in the project but would install the app to help me out, here's the direct link to install the beta.

Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback!

73,
Vance (KV4P)
