Alan,
I believe that all US citizens should have access to affordable broadband.
Reading the histories of the United States, the REA ( Rural
Electification Administration) was created for just this
kind of purpose. It was very successful
A quick history lesson, when Lyndon B Johnston was elected to the House
of Representatives, he got his county approved
for REA. They started by hiring people at very high wages, wired houses
for free.
When the lights came on, the people of his county started naming their
children after LBJ.
we need BDA, Broadband Distribution Administration, whose job it is to
distribute broadband to places where large companies
do not wish to go.
