the linux server (hostname "rimmer") at eclecticlan is up and running.  i=
t is=20
a celeron 1200 with 512MB ram, and a complete install of rh8.  it is NOT=20
behind a firewall of any sort, although i have turned off just about=20
everything except ssh (go ahead, portscan it!)  you can access it at=20
rimmer.cerient.net.

if you would like an account on rimmer, please send me an email with your=
=20
desired logon name and i'll add it.  i've tested vnc successfully, so you=
 can=20
have a graphical desktop if you want.  note that this server is *NOT*=20
intended for any high-bandwidth use, so please be kind and don't abuse ro=
ck's=20
generosity in hosting it on his network.  let me know if you have any=20
questions.

by the way, it looks like the broadcom gigabit nics in rock's PCs are not=
=20
supported by either etherboot or linux in general, so we'll need to add a=
=20
second nic to the machines if we want to use them for anything linux rela=
ted. =20
if you can spare a nic or two we should be able to put it to good use.
