I think we should switch over to RHL 9.0 once it comes out. I suspect
much of the Red Hat Way(tm) of doing things will be the same between the
two. As Jeremy mentioned in another e-mail, we should look at the RHL
9.0 release notes very carefully when they come out. If there are
changes in topics that we've already covered, those should be pointed
out to the group. We can do that on this list, on IRC, or maybe even
add in a class about what's new and different in RHL 9.0.

Not I.

I vote for sticking with the current curriculum. See my comments above.

No, I say we push on and fold in RHL 9.0 and convert over to it once
it's out. If we find that it's dramatically different (which I doubt
will be the case), at that point we can decide whether to continue or
reset the study group.

No, I think our charter is still the same. I think changing to a
"general Linux Certification training" study group would dillute the
focus too much. I'm sure we'd have a lot of fun and learn a lot about
Linux, but for those in the group that actually want to get the RHCE, I
think we need to remain focused on that. As we've seen in the meetings,
there are differences between general Linux and the Ret Hat Way(tm).

Yeah, a little bit. Not enough to panic over since I suspect the
differences between RHL 8.0 and RHL 9.0 won't be huge, even though it's
a bump of the major release number. From what I read on the mailing
lists, the big motivator in the version number bump is the binary
incompatibility between the two. (But it might also end up that I don't
know what I'm talking about.)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this will be one of the topics dicussed on IRC on
Wednesday. :)
