Closed Membership? Huh? Re: [RHCE] Group business 9/17/03

I've seen this mentioned a few times on here, that the study group will be 
"closed" to future membership.  Can someone please explain the rationale 
for this?  It strikes me as something very surprising.

In the past, the group has always been open for any TriLUG member to 
attend any meeting.  Some people have very busy schedules and can't make 
it to every meeting.  Some folks are only interested in certain topics, as 
they are already familiar with the others.  Why can't people come and go 
as the group progresses?

Now, I understand that the meetings have mostly been happenning at Jim 
Ray's house, so it's his perogative on who can come.  That's fine.  But it 
doesn't seem keeping with the normal spirit of TriLUG.
