Hi Jim,
I'd like to start attending the next starting session, whenever that may
be.
Has a starting date for the next group been set yet?

Subject: [RHCE] [raleighwood] rfq on future subject material and opening
upgroup to new folks
Since we only have a few chapters to go on the rh9 book, I make a motion
that we burn through the remainder a chapter at a time until we finish
what we started whether 3 people show up or 12 people show up.
Thereafter, let's open up the group to new members. Now, there is a
limitation to the number of people that can comfortably fit in our
current location. So, I propose to keep lab size small not only for
comfort yet also to stay focused on the topic at hand as opposed to
ancilliary topics like @#$%, !&*@ and ($*^. Me thinks we can
comfortably accommodate 8 folks total yet only had 3 folks at our last
meeting.
In July when our new baby arrives, we might be forced out of this
location. Never fear, though. My garage is air conditioned and will
suffice. I don't see letting up on the labs any time soon and plan to
keep the extra computers available for our use. It is too much fun and
too good of an opportunity to learn.
Rock has another curriculum (http://www.lpi.org/en/home.html) we should
consider rolling in to given acceptance by the group. I am game. I am
also willing to take on special topics and making our own curriculum
(aka Debian installation, Apache configuration or whatever).
We can discuss at our next meeting. See you then.
