[TriLUG] remote mounting of home directories

After looking at Coda, it seems to be a great solution for what I need.
However, one thing irks me a bit - security. I found the following tidbit on
the site:
-------------
2.1 Encryption
The files rpc2.h and secure.c in the RPC2 package contain the cryptographic
routines. For export reasons only RPC2_XOR is in use, but it would be easy
to use DES too.
A bit of cleanup seems to be needed, also in the random number routines.
-------------

XOR, and DES (much better but still not blowfish or AES)? eww. Can anyone
comment on this. From the look of it it sounds like channel encryption
features are either in progress or on the todo list. Couldn't find anything
with piggybacking SSH with it.
