Thats the nice thing about these types of agreements, I think it
will be viewed the same way that Earthlink using Bellsouth DSLAMs,
just "transport."  I'm definitely going to consider moving my
service if I can get a static ip.

One really interesting question is, will Earthlink offer static ip's at a 
reasonable price over cable?

Apparently they do for their ADSL customers now for $15 a month extra, so 
if they carried that  to cable modem service also, it would be very 
inexpensive compared to Road Runner.

Somehow I suspect that their contract with Time Warner might not allow 
that, but you never know.
