It's quite possible that the computer has been resold by now and that the 
current user bought it from a pawn shop or some such.   That is, he could 
be "innocent"

If is was resold through "legal" channels, it may or may not be possible to 
get it back, depending on local law where he bought it.  I'm sure that's 
not what you want to hear, but I thought I should warn you.  It happened to 
someone I know.
