I'm not sure this is something directly resulting from my "security
tweaks". Everything was working when I went home on Wednesday. Now
my httpd will not load. Here's the relevant lines from
/var/log/messages:

I was trying to better the security of my web server by following
through "Securing and Optimizing Linux:RedHat Edition". I removed
some rpm's that the author said were unnecessary. It turns out one
was ( gd ), and others might be. I removed the following:
pump, mailcap, apmd, kernel-pcmcia-cs, linuxconf, getty_ps,
isapnptools, setserial, raidtools, gnupg, redhat-logos,
rehat-release, pciutils, rmt
I left kudzu installed.
This is a Dell PowerApp 120, running RH 7.1 and Apache.
Can someone point me in a direction to figure out what I've done or
what needs t/b corrected? I will gladly provide more info if needed.
