I think he has a CD-RW drive that he wants to mount. While the drive
is physically an IDE drive, it needs to be mounted as SCSI to use it
as a CD burner, AFAIK. Aparently, the mounting fails.

I went thru this exercise this weekend, and got all information at:

I'd guess he's missing some module.
