[TriLUG] Samba File Transfer speeds

What is the security setting for the Samba?  Is it verifying against the
Win2000 box or using a local authentication?
Are you using TNG?  What version of Samba?  TNG has some major speed
issues - but works great as a PDC replacement (just not so good as
fileserver...)
