Sanjeev,
Sounds like something else is using the CD drive, like maybe a CD audio
player. I used to have the same problem when I had ascd installed on my
Afterstep wharf. I'd look for something like that, first. Also, make
sure that if you're su'd to root trying to unmount the drive, that
you're unprivileged user is not in that directory. Sometimes that can
be the problem as well. Exit back to your normal user, change directory
back to your $HOME, and try unmounting again.
