Aha!  That was the magic I was hoping for - build on work that's already done 
- perfect.  So I start rooting around looking for .src.rpm for the package 
(SSH2 or mgetty or whatever) and use that as a base?  OK, so I've got to roll 
up my sleeves on rpm then.

Queue me up for the rpm docs being discussed.
