[TriLUG] Anyone hiring Linux/UNIX professionals?

Well, I hate to have to do this, but I'm afraid I too must continue in
the same vein. I was laid off in July from NeTraverse (yes, one of
many), and I've been looking since. I've got 3 years experience in
support operations, everything from dialup connections to web hosting to
T1, T3, DSL lines to email services and DNS troubleshooting. I've got
about 2 years experience in systems administration and professional
services, part of it spent in an enterprise data center environment in
Manhattan. I learned Linux on my own and got my first job working as a
sysadmin through that and demonstrating a great work ethic.

I've been holding out for a while for a sysadmin position, but to be
quite honest, I'm past my limit of holding out for anything. I just
need work. My unemployment benefits end in two weeks, and after
that...well, enough said. If anybody has any contacts at any companies
where they might be hiring, I'd like to hear about them. I'm not above
going back to doing phone support on dialup services. I'll listen to
any offer of employment that any of you can let me hear about.

Anyway, I'll just dust off my knees right now and go back to searching
online for a while. Thanks in advance for any jobs y'all send my way.

Regards,
Ben Pitzer
