I'm hip to most of that, with one exception - we could streamline the
process this way :

1) verify one person's public key as good, check their ID, etc, etc
2) designate this person as official "signer" for the night
3) each person verifies their key with the official signer
4) the official signer signs that key and uploads it to a public
keyserver
5) everyone else downloads the key(s) at their leisure, verifies that
the official signer's signature is good, signs the key, and re-uploads
it to the public keyserver.

This would also save time at our next meeting (admittedly, it is "State
of the LUG" and a Meet & Greet") and not subject non-crypto minded
people to long strings of seemingly random babble *grin*
