I would say that it depends on the speaker.  I think that a lot of the
speakers
we get, are geeks themselves.  Which makes sense when you consider the
typical
subject matter we're dealing with.

Anyway, if the speaker is a hardcore geek, the geek humor probably isn't
that big of a deal.  On the other hand, if the speaker was, oh say an IBM
executive in charge of IBM OSS initiatives, or something, then it would
probably be less appropriate to interject the geek humor...
