[TriLUG] educational effort

Hi.  We are an educational LUG and I'd like to keep the ball rolling.
While I haven't time to coordinate this I'd like to add some of my time to
the effort.  I was thinking of calling local schools to get contact info
for any schools interested in Linux, and some basic school background
info.  I'm hoping we can do a set of workshops and possibly installfests
for/with these local schools.

Has anybody begun this already?  I saw the much earlier posting by Kevin
about the educational charter last August but haven't heard much since.

Does anybody other than me think this is a good idea?
