[TriLUG] iptables/ipchains (WAS: Security woes)

Okey. well I don't have a firewall setup on this box and I cannot telnet
into it, ftp into it, or VNC into it. I don't know where to start looking to
fix it. I would like to make it as secure as possible allowing these 3
services. This box is behind a firewall.

If you really wanna use ipchains, you should be able to make sure you
don't have any iptables modules loaded and then "modprobe ipchains"
which would load the ipchains compatibility module.  Yes, iptables is
preferred, but any existing ipchains scripts can use the module fairly
well in my exp.
