Chris this might not be helpful but I have run dozens of Linux boxen in
primarily M$ environments and they worked fine with MS DHCP (under NT 4.0).
This is also true of the *BSD's.  Every machine has been a fairly stock Red
Hat from v6.1 up through and including 7.2.
