I have a Western Digital PCI SCSI controller, when I cat /proc/pci I see the
following:
PCI devices found:
Bus 0, device 0, function 0:
Host bridge: Intel Corporation 430FX - 82437FX TSC [Triton I] (rev 2).
Master Capable. Latency=32.
Bus 0, device 7, function 0:
ISA bridge: Intel Corporation 82371FB PIIX ISA [Triton I] (rev 2).
Bus 0, device 7, function 1:
IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82371FB PIIX IDE [Triton I] (rev 2).
Master Capable. Latency=32.
I/O at 0x3000 [0x300f].
Bus 0, device 17, function 0:
Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139 (rev 16).
IRQ 9.
Master Capable. Latency=32. Min Gnt=32.Max Lat=64.
I/O at 0x6000 [0x60ff].
Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xf4000000 [0xf40000ff].
Bus 0, device 18, function 0:
SCSI storage controller: Western Digital 33C296A (rev 0).
IRQ 11.
Master Capable. Latency=32. Min Gnt=5.Max Lat=6.
I/O at 0x6100 [0x61ff].
Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xf4001000 [0xf40010ff].
Bus 0, device 19, function 0:
VGA compatible controller: 3Dfx Interactive, Inc. Voodoo 3 (rev 1).
IRQ 10.
Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xf0000000 [0xf1ffffff].
Prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xf2000000 [0xf3ffffff].
I/O at 0x6200 [0x62ff].
Obviously, I the pci bus sees the controller but I don't have a /proc/scsi
directory at all and I don't have an /dev/sdX mounted anywhere on my box.
What do I need to do to get my SCSI drive so it's recognized on my linux
box?
Andy
