I have almost the same environment; Red Hat 7.2, Ximian Desktop and
Ximian Evolution but it's not snappy as yours.  I'm curious how much RAM
do you have and what is the clock speed of your CPU?  My PC has 64 MB of
RAM and a 300 MHz Celeron processor.
