That may have once been true, but now they are separate.  (I have seen
drives that disk druid can handle, but that fdisk cannot.) 
Unfortunately, I think disk druid is built in to anaconda, and not
independently executable.

There are other partitioning tools.  Parted was mentioned.  There is
also sfdisk (in the RH util-linux package).
