What's the use of the list if you can't talk about things in
depth?  If you don't like it, and think you're getting to
much e-mail, either just hit the delete button or unsubscribe
from the list.  

If you're subscribed to this list, you should realize that you
will get e-mail from time to time.  Sometimes you will get a
lot; sometimes you will get a little.  That's the way a mailing
list works.  While it *is* a good idea to stay "on topic", I 
think the definition of on topic for this list is quite broad.
(And things the LUG is doing are definitely "on topic".)
