The "extreme" would be the "secure irc" stuff covered awhile back on
/. (www.sirc.hu maybe?) but the "std" irc server a prob. a few others
can be found from

The slicker you want it, you can prob. just hop on dalnet, opn, etc. and
ask for a copy of that they're running, perhaps.
