As the others said, Gnucash is almost certainly the one you're thinking
of.  WARNING: This app is currently VERY difficult to get working if you
download the source & compile.  There are oh so many dependencies, and
it will make your brain spin.  The best thing to do is see if your Linux
distribution of choice has prepackaged it for you.  I just checked and
it would seem my Red Hat 7.2 box already has it installed.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately depending on your environment) it is
another one of those apps that is optimized for one desktop (Gnome) to
the detriment of those who prefer other desktops (in my case, KDE).
