Hashes only verify data Integrity.  They do NOT verify Authenticity.  

But, heck, it's Mandrake.  Who's using that crap anyway?  ;-)    (oh I'm just 
teasing!)  At some point, you just have to trust it.  Like Mike said, the 
website is the best place to get the MD5 hashes from.
