[TriLUG] mandrake 8.2 kernel compiles.

I installed 8.2 on my laptop (1GHz Duron) and could not compile the kernel either. I was playing with drake using an old hd. I'm back on my normal RH7.2 disk. I didn't spend much time trying to figure out what the problem was. I plan on doing some dinking around with 8.2 as time permits. I liked what I saw, other than the kernel compilation. XFree 4.2 was really nice as it much better supports my video chipset.
I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who had the problem.
