Yes, I was real tempted to get the developer model. Just ended up waiting
it out for the extra memory.

The Zaurus can actually act as a DHCP server as well, but I have found it
more reliable to just set the virtual nics with static IP's (the USB acts
as a nic on the desktop side as well as the Zaurus side, like they were
hooked up through a cross-over cable). Once I get a real nic (either a
wireless CF card or wired CF card), I'll definitely be setting the Zaurus
as a DHCP client for network portability. So far the best sites I have
found are the developer2developer forum:

http://more.sbc.co.jp/forum/dev2dev/cbbs.cgi

And the zauruszone forum:

http://www.zauruszone.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi

I have to agree that the www.zauruszone.com site is a great place for info
to get up and running! As far as software development and some more info
http://zaurus.sourceforge.net/ should also be looked at. The two sites
interlink together a lot.
