Understood, but they aren't the Inspiron series. Being "Dell Pro Authorized"
I can tell you don't use the Inspiron for Linux. The CP series is an
excellent one.
FYI...Inspiron is the low end laptop from Dell.
Again, I've had the best luck with Toshiba's. And you can get really good
one's really cheap from their website directly. AND the don't bitch if they
have Linux on them.

Gotta disagree.
Been using Redhat on Lattitude LM, CP, and LS series laptops and while
it hasn't all been tea and honey, it's been an overall positive
experience. The only problem is suspend mode, which with some patient
tweaking you can get working.
So, to sum... Dell not BAAAD, just not PERFFFECT.
Also, Dell tech people don't even bat an eye when you call in and say
you've got linux on there...
