The old alphas originally belonged to RTD:

Mike Haley (a local Linux guy) purchased a bunch of them. On TriLUG's
behalf, I begged Mike for one as a donation and instead got two.  So
most of the credit should go to Mike.

Speaking of this, I wish there was more inter-LUG communication and/or
sharing.  Like, perhaps there are other LUGs getting started that would
love to have a web page or a list-server or other help?  Just thinking
out loud...
