[TriLUG] DD question, not related

Actually, I'm writing a doc on how we're going to move a Solaris server from
2.6 to 2.8, and it's been so long, I don't remember DD. I have to document
EACH step. (Open CD, Insert CD#1, Close CD, etc.) Sound like fun?

dd if=/dev/hda of=/dev/hdb

I believe.  Any reason why you can't just tar/untar the filesystem?

I need to copy an HDD from one to another. Does anyone remember how to do
this with DD?
