One other thing to check out would be your VGA cables.  I had 
a lot of problems with my KVM switch until I switched to
"triple-shielded" vga cables.  The only problem with them (at least
when I bought them 3 years ago) is that they're fairly expensive
(on the order of $40-$50/cable).  Without them, however, at least
on normal monitors, at higher resolutions I got very bad moire 
patterns.  What you're seeing could be a similar sort of thing
(but it's whatever an lcd does instead of doing moires).
