post-install of ucd-snmpd I usu. just comment out all the com2sec and
group settings, fixup syslocation/syscontact and add a line "rocommunity
public" near the top.  I'm sure there are more optimal approaches,
but it's quick+easy and has worked well for me so far. *shrug*
