Hey fellas and ladies,

Just wanted to tell you about a situation I had so if anyone else has
the same problem.  In my Compaq presario 5000 I put in a Conexant HSF
56k Micromodem,  Even tho Red Hat Linux 7.3 would pick up the PCI modem
it would not configure it properly and KPPP would quit with errors.  I
then went to hardware.redhat.com and followed the linmodem link which
took me to this conexant page

The drivers for RH are in RPM format and for the Conexant HSF 56k
Micromodem ( Which came out of an e-machine by the way ) are under the
Softmodem Section 

 hsflinmodem-5.03.03.01mbsibeta02050500-1_redhat.i586.rpm is the
filename you need for this specific case.  I plan to include this info
on my own site but I wanted to make sure you guys had it just in case I
couldnt come to a meeting or something,
