Well how about a "local store" suggestion?? Try Intrex (located in Raleigh
and Cary), they just about always have some inexpensive motherboards for
sale on a table in their stores. There are probably some better stores in
the area, but they're at least a place to begin looking. Anything you buy
from them is also guaranteed for 12 months!-- LOL--Al Johnson

Subject: [TriLUG] Replacement motherboard help

My brother's PC died (fried powersupply and motherboard) and he's looking to
get it back working for really cheap. He had a P2-400 and was happy with
the
speed. He's looking for a cheap motherboard that will take his existing
PC100 memory. I know there was some talk about surplus web sites some time
ago, but I forgot.

He wants a P2 or P3 system with motherboard and processor for <$100.

Any pointers to web site would be helpful.

Thanks.
