[TriLUG] Linux on Compaq Alpha

RedHat v7.1 installs nicely and updates to the latest packages. RedHat
v7.1 also has a great Appendix describing how to install to an Alpha box
using MILO.

The Alpha boxes bios is designed to load an NT boot strap and MILO
emulates the NT boot strap but loads up LILO - which in turn loads your
Linux Kernel.

The first time you setup an alpha box it is a real p-i-t-a! but the Red Hat
appendix walks you through the install step by step.

Good Luck

Jon
