Sure, should work assuming you've got a line-of-sight between the two gun 
antennas. Two things come to mind, one technical and one non-technical:

1) You'd need a second Orinoco attached to the gun antenna at your house 
end, correct?

2) Unless you have a really big yard, the end of the DSL 2000 feet from 
your house is probably on someone else's property. So you'd at least need 
to ask them before setting up the antenna on their property. Especially if 
you wanted, to, oh, tap into their power for the Orinoco WAP in the middle 
of this empty space. I suppose you could set up a solar cell and battery 
recharger system in the middle of a field the way some areas power 
emergency roadside telephones, of course.
