What are you trying to do? I use X-CDRoast to do CD to CD burning...I have
a 32x Toshiba reader and a 16x Plextor writer. I've set the kernel up with
SCSI emulation and disabled the IDE ATAPI support so these drives would be
seen by vorbis and cdparanoia as SCSI drives...works great from drive to
drive!

A hearty "Me Too!" here. Roy sold me on X-Cd-Roast at the last install
fest. My only complaint is documentation. But once you figure it out
it's pretty powerful and hasn't given me a coaster yet. :)
