[TriLUG] Finding decent monitors?

My wife's monitor has just decided to die. It was an Apple 15" that was
being used with a VGA adapter for a PC. It has survived a long time as
it was originally purchased in 1994. Does anyone have any good leads on
a 15" or 17" monitor? She uses hers for web browsing, e-mailing, and
typing as she is a teacher. I would love to find something decent that
is either new or used, but I am trying to keep the costs down...

Any suggestions?
