[TriLUG] Sound recording/editing/archiving - where to start?

FWIW,
Those in the industry that use computers to do the work (not digital
studios, like Roland or Alesis, but PC's or Mac's), most use Mac's. It's
definitely superior to Windows based PC's, but I'm certain that we can get a
Linux based system to work.
I'll start looking around and see what I can find.

That's way cool! Thanks Roy! I've sent off an email to the guy who
bought all the equipment (or at least knows what it is). I hope to have
more information soon. I'll email it to you offlist. I definitely could
use some advice on what kind of specs to look for - like how fast of a
processor, recommended memory, etc.
