[TriLUG] Questions on wireless cards

Ed,

You might want to try the orinoco_cs driver instead (unless you compile
the wlan-ng one). According to the pcmcia-cs people the orinoco_cs
driver is supposed to have better support for the Netgear MA401 over the
wvlan_cs.

http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ftp/SUPPORTED.CARDS

You just have to change the /etc/pcmcia/config.opts line that says:

card "Intersil PRISM2 11 Mbps Wireless Adapter"
  manfid 0x0156, 0x0002
  bind "wvlan_cs"

to this:

card "Intersil PRISM2 11 Mbps Wireless Adapter"
  manfid 0x0156, 0x0002
  bind "orincoc_cs"

Cheers,
David
