Hi Greg,

There is a flegdling user group called "hardcider" (Hardcore Mac OS X 
users group).  I don't know that there are any mailing lists yet, but 
there is an IRC channel... #hardcider on irc.freenode.net

Also, check out http://fink.sourceforge.net/ for some great OS X tools.
