I also have an IOGear MiniView 2 system, but it isn't USB. It works fine for
2 of my workstations, one linux, one W2K

I'm using the IOGear MiniView GCS1712 2-system USB KVM and it works
wonderfully. 1600x1200 at 32-bit and 75Hz refresh. They offer a PS/2
version.

Requires a newer kernel because they have a busted USB hub implementation
that needs to be worked around.
