Nope. Mandrake 9.0 includes all you need to use the new drivers,
except for that one rpm I mentioned, and all that's in it is
configuration files an utility programs.
If you want, you can download a version compiled for Mandrake 9.0 at:
http://www.trilug.org/~lovelace/rpms/mandrake/9.0/i586/prism2-utils-0.1.14-1mdk.i586.rpm
Or alternatively, you can download the source rpm from here:
http://www.trilug.org/~lovelace/rpms/mandrake/9.0/SRPMS/prism2-utils-0.1.14-1mdk.src.rpm
and rebuild it with "rpm --rebuild <rpmfilename>".
After installing this rpm, make sure you setup the file
/etc/sysconfig/networking-scripts/ifcfg-wlan0 (I use dhcp,
so I just copied my ifcfg-eth0 over, but if you do that, remember
to change the line in it that says "eth0" to be "wlan0" or
else dhcp won't work!) and then you should be able to
restart pcmcia and then restart networking.
(As root, do)
service pcmcia restart
service networking restart
Then check that wlan0 is up and running.
